I drew from many different buildings while researching and designing my Mega Sound Stage. One of my favorite sources for ideas is Santiago Calatrava, though I also drew from Norman Foster and the architecture around me.

The Alameda Bridge in Valencia, Spain (Calatrava, 1991-1995) serves as
the primary inspiration for my own grand tilted arch. The parabolic form
is tilted 70 degrees from horizontal -- according to Calatrava, this is
the most structrually stable cantilever for arches.

Calatrava's Ernstings Warehouse (Germany, 1983-1985) graciously
contributed the stunning beauty of vertical aluminum siding to my
project.
